Alternative Removal Method: Manual Technique
Using your middle fingers, open the eyelids WIDE by applying one finger
on the very edge of your upper lid and the other on the edge of your
lower lid.
Pull the lids apart wider than the retainer lens.
Push your upper and lower lids against the eye and hold the upper lid
stable to be used as a stop.
Gently push the lower lid slightly into the eye and then in an upward
motion. Moving your lower lid straight up will cause the lower edge of the
lens to pivot off of the eye.
Maintaining pressure on your lids, blink in a hard motion. This will allow
the lids to remove the retainer lens off of the eye.
Attempt to blink out the retainer onto something soft like a tissue or a
towel.
